Flat Tempered Glass

Tempering glass/ toughened glass involves subjecting ordinary glass to temperatures near its softening point (650℃~680℃), followed by uniform cooling to induce consistent compressive stress on the surface and tensile stress within. This process enhances the mechanical strength of the glass, thereby significantly bolstering its resistance to window pressure, impacts, and thermal shocks.

Features

Safety:

Upon breakage, tempered glass forms small obtuse particles that minimize the risk of injury, ensuring heightened safety for users.

High Strength:

  • Exceeding stringent standards such as stress levels of above 90MPa (China standard) and no less than 69MPa (US standard), tempered glass demonstrates exceptional resilience.
  • With an impact strength 4 to 5 times greater than ordinary glass of the same thickness, and anti-deflection capabilities 3 to 5 times superior, it assures unmatched durability.

Thermal Stability:

  • Tempered glass withstands temperature differentials three times higher than annealed glass, enduring temperatures up to 300°
  • Notably effective in preventing thermal explosions, it ensures reliable performance even under extreme thermal conditions.”
